Reflexology is an ancient therapy known to be over 4000 years old. There is pictorial evidence in the tomb of Ankhmahor, an Egyptian physician showing a reflexology treatment in progress. The Chinese are also known to have used reflexology in conjunction with acupuncture.
Reflexology as we know it today was introduced to the West by Dr William Fitzgerald an American surgeon who conducted research into ancient Chinese healing techniques. From this he found that by applying pressure to certain parts of the body produced an anaesthetising effect on another part of the body. From this he developed Zone therapy.
His work was further developed by Joe Riley and Eunice Ingham. Eunice Ingham, known as the Mother of Reflexology, devoted over 40 years of her life to developing and advancing reflexology in the West.
Reflexology is an holistic therapy which means that when you receive a treatment your body is helped to balance itself on many levels including physically, spiritually and psychologically.
Reflexology may help the following conditions:
The five principles of Reiki;

Reiki (pronounced Ray-Key) is a system of Enlightenment and a Hands on Healing art developed in the early 1900's by Mikao Usui in Japan.
The word Reiki comes from two Japanese words - Rei and Ki, meaning Universal Life Force Energy. The term "Reiki" is used to describe both the energy and the Usui system of using it.
Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It is effective in helping many illnesses and always creates a beneficial effect. Reiki is a non-invasive therapy that can be used without fear of any side-effects or receive too much. It may be used with confidence alongside conventional medication or natural remedies as it acts in a complementary way.
Reiki is usually carried out either lying down or sitting, in a comfortable and peaceful environment. There is no need to remove any clothing. The practitioner places their hands gently, in a series of positions, on or over the body. The client's system automatically draws in only as much Reiki as is needed. Reiki may be felt as a flow of energy, mild tingling, warmth, coolness, other sensations, or nothing at all. Reiki is deeply relaxing, eases stress, and has a calming effect.
Crystals are minerals and are all around us. They are formed in the earth's surface and come in many different shapes, sizes and colours. They are identified by their colour and degree of hardness which is measured by the Mohs Scale.
Crystals emit vibrations and frequencies which can affect our whole being. They are known to have healing qualities and each crystal will have different healing qualities which can be utilised to help bring balance and harmony.
A Crystal Healing treatment is carried out lying down in a comfortable and peaceful environment. There is no need to remove any clothing. The Crystals specific to your needs are then placed around or on your body.
The practitioner will then work with the energy of the crystal to assist healing and change. Treatments are also deeply relaxing, ease stress, and have a calming effect.
SHAMANIC healing is thought to be one of the oldest healing practices, stretching back thousands of years and linking to indigenous cultures across the globe. Shamanism is rooted in the belief that everything has an energy and that, sometimes, work needs to be done to bring things back into balance.
The shamanic practitioner sees health issues as being connected to the loss of energy, or power, and will work to balance these issues, often seeking to return lost energy and helping to return the client to wholeness.
During the session there may be the use of drums, rattles and chimes as well as 'smudging'- a method of burning herbs or incense to cleanse and bless the area. Shamanic healing can also be used alongside other treatments such as massage or reflexology.
People consult Shamanic Practitioners for many different reasons including:
These life events can affect us in many ways and in shamanic terms may result in Soul Loss. Physically, the symptoms of soul loss can be many things. Fatigue is very common, along with a weakened immune system. Soul loss can be behind many illnesses. This may then start to affect the physical body causing ill health and weakness.
If you are suffering from any of these symptoms, it might be that in shamanic terms, the most likely cause is 'soul loss'. The idea of soul loss is central to shamanism along with the shamanic practice of 'soul retrieval'. This is the idea that part of our soul can literally leave, leaving behind a sense of emptiness and a feeling that something is missing'. The treatment is for a shamanic practitioner to find the missing part and persuade it to come back, and help make the person whole again.
I offer distance healing using a blend of shamanic and reiki healing, crystals and oracle cards. We agree a suitable day and time, when you then make yourself comfortable at home. After the healing, I then connect with you to discuss and feedback. I can record the healing for you to listen to afterwards.

Aromatherapy is the practice of using volatile plant oils, including essential oils, which may be helpful for psychological and physical well-being.
Aromatherapy treats mind and body together. The scent of the essential oils used can have a powerful effect on the emotions while the oil's chemistry affects the body
Essential oils are extracted from plants and they have certain therapeutic properties. The aromatherapist will decide on the best oils or blend of oils to use depending on your specific needs.
The oils can be applied in a variety of ways, but massage is a common method of application. The essential oils are blended with a carrier oil and then gently massaged into the skin.
Aromatherapy is an especially effective treatment for stress-related problems and a variety of chronic conditions.
Research has shown that when they are applied to the skin or inhaled, essential oils are absorbed into the bloodstream and metabolised in the body, similar to other substances. Many essential oils possess significant anti-microbial properties, in both liquid and vapour form. There are many studies that demonstrate how essential oils can positively affect mood and the sense of well-being. (Woolfson, A & Hewitt, D (1992) Intensive Aromacare, International Journal of Aromatherapy 4(2) pp.12-13).
Research shows that aromatherapy may be useful for the following:
